Takeshi Yamada

National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter

Welcome to Japan!

My name is Takeshi Yamada, a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter based in the vibrant city of Yokohama, Kanagawa.

Born and raised in Minamiuonuma City, Niigata Prefecture, renowned for its exquisite rice and sake, I have a deep appreciation for Japan’s culinary delights. I love sharing laughs, exploring diverse cultures and histories, and playing tennis.

I specialize in guiding tours around Yokohama, Kamakura, Fuji-Hakone, Tokyo, and the surrounding Kanto areas.

With years of experience in multinational corporations, I excel in English communication and making foreign visitors feel at home.

Whether you’re interested in historical landmarks, authentic cultural experiences, savoring Japanese cuisine, enjoying lively Izakaya spots, or soaking in the urban energy, my tours are tailored to your interests. I am committed to providing exceptional service, ensuring each guest receives personalized attention and creates unforgettable memories.

My greatest joy is seeing my guests fall in love with Japan, taking home cherished memories and a deeper understanding of this beautiful country.

I look forward to meeting you and being your friendly, knowledgeable guide.

See you soon!

Why DOMO(どうも)Japan Guide?

DOMO is a magic Japanese word. Although you may feel Japanese language is a little bit difficult, you can use DOMO in various occasions. It can be used as a casual greeting, like "hi", "hello" or "bye", or to express appreciation or apology. When combined with “arigato” or "sumimasen", "Domo Arigato" makes a formal gratitude, and “Domo Sumimasen” makes a sincere apology. Just using this simple word will help you to make more comfortable interactions with Japanese people and culture. Like this magic word, I wish to be your magic guide interpreter as being a bridge between you and Japan. I welcome your contact through the below contact form or book the tour from the BOOK button.
